Exporting

What the export dialog offers, and what Original means, at every entrance.

The practice swipe, the Player's ⋯ menu, and Comparison's ⋯ menu all open the same export dialog. It shows only the choices that actually apply to where you started — a choice with just one possible answer is left out entirely, never shown greyed out.

Video

Comparison alone offers a Video choice: Comparison for the merged side-by-side clip, or Practice only for just your practice take. The practice swipe and the Player each have only one thing to export, so this row doesn't appear there.

Audio

  • Practice — your practice's own recorded audio.
  • Reference — the project's reference audio, muxed in at your practice's speed.
  • No sound — a silent export.

No sound is reachable from every entrance, including Comparison. An imported practice has no reference track, so Reference simply isn't offered for one.

Resolution & frame rate

Pick ResolutionOriginal, 1080p, or 4K — and Frame rateOriginal, 30 fps, or 60 fps. Original means as-captured: it keeps the clip's own resolution and frame rate rather than re-encoding to a fixed target, and when nothing else about the export changes it, the result is a bit-exact copy of the original rather than a re-encode.

Comparison never offers Original for either row — two panes are composed onto a new canvas for the merged video, so "the clip's own size" has no answer there.

Practice only means something different depending on where you start

Practice only always lands in the same "Dashi Dance Practice" album, with nothing on the file itself to tell the three apart:

  • From a practice's swipe actions, it's the raw take.
  • From the Player, it carries whatever you set up there — mirror, speed, loop trim, and audio choice.
  • From Comparison, it carries the comparison's trim, alignment, and speed, not the practice's own. Exporting Practice only from Comparison is not the same clip as exporting that practice from its swipe actions or from the Player.
