Getting Started

What Dashi Dance is and how to set up your first practice session.

Dashi Dance helps you learn dance routines from reference videos — and actually see yourself improve. Import a routine, break it down in the Player, record yourself dancing along, then compare your take side-by-side with the source. Everything lives on your device: there's no account to create.

The loop

1. Import. Bring a reference video or audio track into a Project — from Files or your Photos library. Dashi Dance keeps the source, the project, and every practice you record all together.

2. Learn it in the Player. Open the source in the Player and work the hard section on repeat: loop it, slow it down, mirror it so the moves line up the way you'd see them in a mirror.

3. Record yourself. Once a section feels close, record yourself dancing along — the reference plays alongside your camera preview so you can dance right against it.

4. Compare side-by-side. Play your practice and the source together in Comparison to see exactly where you're landing early, late, or out of position — then go back to the Player and drill it again.
