Alignment & Auto-align
Line your practice up with the reference — by hand, or in one tap with Auto-align (Pro).
If the panes fall out of sync, open ⋯ → Alignment.
- ① the offset controls — shift your practice against the source; nudge it with −/+, type a value directly, or tap a chip (±0.1, ±0.5, ±1 s); positive delays your practice, negative advances it. Reset returns the offset to its starting point — 0 for an imported practice (no in-app recording anchor to return to), or the alignment captured while you were recording, for one made in-app.
Auto-align (Pro)
Auto-align uses audio analysis to line your practice's audio up with the source's — tap Align, then fine-tune with the offset controls above. It works because you danced to what you heard, and your mic captured roughly that — so lining your recording's audio up with the source's audio also lines your movements up with the source's. That makes it especially useful for imported practices (no in-app anchor) and for in-app recordings with capture latency, like a Bluetooth-speaker delay between playback and what the mic caught. A note warns you if the match is weak. Auto-align is a Dashi Dance Pro feature.
Recorded at reduced speed?
If a practice was recorded at reduced speed, Dashi Dance already compensates — the reference plays back at that same base speed so the two stay in step. The speed control multiplies on top of that for both panes.
