Every core practice tool in Dashi Dance is free. Dashi Dance Plus and Pro remove ads and unlock a toolkit for more advanced practice.
Free
The whole practice loop is free: importing a Source, the Player, recording your own take, Comparison, and exporting video. Free use is ad-supported — watching one short rewarded ad unlocks the gated actions for 20 minutes of active use; time the app sits idle or paused doesn't count against it. No ads interrupt you mid-practice.
Dashi Dance Plus
Plus removes ads entirely and adds theme palettes — including a fully custom theme you design yourself — Dashi wallpaper export, and exclusive sticker art for your Dashi Collection.
Dashi Dance Pro
Pro includes everything in Plus, plus a set of advanced tools:
- Pitch & EQ — retune or reshape the reference audio without changing its speed. See Pitch & EQ.
- Auto-align — lines up your recording to the source automatically, for recordings with audio latency or imported clips. See Alignment & Auto-align.
- Show full clips — keep both videos playing full-length in Comparison instead of stopping at the overlap. See Comparison.
- iCloud sync — keep your projects and practices on every device. See iCloud Sync & Backup.
Pro also adds its own exclusive Dashi sticker art for your Dashi Collection, on top of the art Plus unlocks.
Subscribing & managing
Subscribe monthly or annually from Settings — annual plans start with a one-week free trial. Gated controls throughout the app show a small Plus or Pro badge rather than being hidden; tap one to see the upgrade screen.
To change or cancel a subscription, use Manage Subscription in Settings, which opens your App Store subscriptions — cancelling there still leaves you with access through the end of the period you already paid for. Setting up Dashi Dance on a new device? Restore Purchases in Settings brings your subscription back, as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID.
The tip jar — Support the Developer in Settings — is separate from any subscription. It's a one-off thank-you and doesn't unlock anything.
Common questions
How do I cancel?
Use Manage Subscription in Settings, which opens your App Store subscriptions. You keep access until the current period ends.
I got a new phone — where's my subscription?
Open Settings → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple ID.
What exactly does an ad unlock?
The gated actions — playback, recording, export, and comparison — for 20 minutes of active use. Idle or paused time doesn't count against it.
Is the tip jar a subscription?
No — Support the Developer is a one-off tip. It doesn't unlock any features.
