Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how HenSpeed Innovations, LLC ("HenSpeed," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Dashi Dance iOS app (the "App").

The Short Version

We designed Dashi Dance so that we do not collect your personal data ourselves. Your videos and practice data stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. We operate no servers. The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob, which collects limited device data to serve and measure ads, as described below.

Information We Collect

The App does not require an account and does not transmit your personal information to HenSpeed in the background. We do not sell your personal information. The App includes third-party SDKs from Google — Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform — which serve ads in the free version, gather your consent choices, and collect the limited device data described in the Advertising section below. Apart from advertising, the optional Apple-provided diagnostics described below, support emails you choose to send us, and a version check that asks the App Store whether a newer version of the App exists, no information about you leaves your device.

Your Videos and Practice Data

Videos you record or import, and the practice data the App creates, are stored locally on your device. All video processing — playback, slow motion, mirroring, and side-by-side comparison — happens on your device.

iCloud Sync

The App can store data in your personal iCloud account in two ways. If your device is signed into iCloud, your practice statistics and sticker collection back up to your iCloud account automatically. If you also enable the App's iCloud sync feature, your projects, practices, and (optionally) settings sync through the same account so they are available across your devices. In both cases the data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. HenSpeed cannot access data in your iCloud account. You can turn iCloud for the App off at any time in iOS Settings, which stops both the automatic backup and sync.

Diagnostics and Analytics

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide us with crash logs and aggregated usage statistics. This information reaches us only through Apple, is not used by us to identify you, and is used solely to fix bugs and improve the App. You can opt out at any time in iOS Settings.

Support Requests

If you contact us from inside the App, the App opens your device's mail composer with a message addressed to us. That message includes your app version, iOS version, device model, and subscription tier, and — if you leave the attachment options switched on — a diagnostic log file and, when one exists, a crash/hang report. The diagnostic log records app events such as imports, exports, and errors; it is written without your project names, file names, or other personal content, though an error message reported by iOS may occasionally include the name of a file involved.

Nothing is sent until you review the message and its attachments in the mail composer and press Send. If you cancel, nothing leaves your device. Your email reaches us through your own email provider, and we use it only to answer you and fix bugs.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details or billing address. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Advertising

The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect device information such as your IP address, device model, device identifiers, and ad interaction data.

Personalized ads. With your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show ads personalized to your interests.
Non-personalized ads. If you decline tracking, ads are contextual rather than personalized, and your advertising identifier is not used for ad personalization.
Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. Where required by law, the App shows a Google-provided consent form before requesting ads, and your choices there govern how Google may use your data. You can change those choices at any time from the App's Settings.

Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Some U.S. state privacy laws treat personalized advertising as "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

Ad tracking: allow or revoke permission for personalized ads in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Diagnostics: control sharing in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
iCloud: turn the App's access to iCloud on or off in iOS Settings — this controls both the automatic backup and sync.
Deletion: deleting the App removes its data from your device. Data in iCloud can be removed in the App — delete individual projects and practices while sync is on, or use Settings → iCloud Sync → Delete All iCloud Data.
